James Harden Late Turnover against the Celtics Leads to Rockets 4th Straight Loss

NBA – The Boston Celtics overcome the Houston Rockets 26 points lead to get the win 99 – 98 at the TD Garden in Boston. Al Horford scored the winning basket for the Celtics, but it was Marcus Smart who made two defensive stops against James Harden that cause the Rockets to lose the Game.

The Celtics win maintain their # 1 ranked in the East with 29 wins and 10 losses, while the Houston Rockets suffered their 4 straight losing skid of the season after making a season best 14 – game winning streak, the Rockets falls down in the West Standings with 25 wins and 8 losses but still in solo second place right behind the league best record and defending champion Golden State Warriors with 28 wins and 7 losses.

In the game, the Rockets dominated the Celtics as early in the game, posting a 20 point lead to end the 1st quarter 32 – 12. The momentum continues for the visiting team as they end the 1st half up by 24 points 62 – 38.

But in the 2nd half, the home team rallies back to the game as they slowly chop the visiting team biggest lead of 26 points into just 9 points with just a minute to go in the quarter, the Celtics outscored the Rockets 31 – 16 in the 3rd quarter to finish the quarter 80 – 71.

In the 4th quarter, the Celtics continue their strong attack in the final quarter cutting the Rockets lead into just 1 point for several times and for the last time is after a made basket by rookie Jason Tatum with 7 seconds to go, James Harden committed back to back turnover after making two offensive foul against Marcus Smart that gives back the ball possession to the Celtics.

Al Horford made the clutch basket that gives the Celtics very first lead of the game 99 - 98 in Hardens first turnover and with 2 seconds to go another two free throws shot by Al Horford to Hardens second turnover that eventually sealed the game.

Kyrie Irving leads the Celtics in scoring with 26 points 4 rebounds and 4 assist while James Harden with game high 34 points 6 rebounds and 10 assist in loosing effort.

Warriors Beats Cavs on Christmas Day Special

NBA – The defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors host the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers in their first meeting this season, on Christmas Day Specials at Oracle Arena in Oakland. The Warriors ranked 2nd best in the West Standings with 26 wins and 7 losses, while the Cavaliers is sitting 3rd in the East Standings with 24 wins and 9 losses.


Both teams are currently playing good basketball this season, The Warriors have an 11 – game winning streak before the Denver Nuggets snapped it prior to this game while the Cavaliers had their own winning streak to 13 – game winning streak tying the franchise record and won 19 of their last 21 games after a slow start this season.

Early in the game the Cleveland Cavaliers are mostly in control of the game posting their biggest lead of 7 points, outscoring the home team 24 – 20 at the end of the 1st quarter. As expected LeBron James and Kevin Durant to lead their team where both players scored 9 points.

In the 2nd quarter, the Warriors take their first lead of the game 42 – 39 after a made 3’s by Kevin Durant with 3:02 to go, the lead was up to 5 points after a 7 – 0 run by the Warriors but the visiting team manage to cut the lead in just 2 points at the half. The Warriors outscored the Cavaliers 22 – 16 in the 2nd quarter to finish the half leading by 2 points 46 – 44.

Durant leads all scorers with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assists and 2 blocks for the home team while Kevin Love leads the Cavs with 11 points and 11 rebounds and LeBron James just healed with 10 points in 4 out of 10 shooing.

In the 3rd quarter Kevin Love is keeping the Cavaliers alive against the Warriors while his team mates LeBron James is struggling throughout the day. Love scored 26 points and 17 rebounds in 3 quarters to keep the Cavaliers hang on down by just 4 points at the end of the 3rd 71 – 67, Warriors by 4 pts. Durant leads the Warriors in the after 3 quarters with 20 points.

In the 4th quarter, The Warriors are enjoying the biggest lead of the game with 9 points 90 – 81 with under 5 minutes to go in the quarter, but the Cavaliers roars back with an 11 – 2 run to tie the game 92 all with under 2 minutes to go. The Warriors regain the lead after a made 3’s by Klay Thompson 95 – 92, the Cavs had their chance, but LeBron James made some crucial turnovers in the end game that caused to their 10th loss of the season.

James finished the game with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assist while Kevin Love has game high of 31 points and 18 rebounds for the Warriors Kevin Durant scores 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks and some key defensive stop  to LeBron James while Klay Thompson added 24 points scoring the last 7 points of the Warriors.

Meanwhile Stephen Curry did not play in the game to miss his 9th straight game due to ankle injury.

Cavs Snapped Bulls 7-Game Winning Streak in a 115 – 112 Win at Home

NBA – The # 3 seed in the East Cleveland Cavaliers host the # 14 seed Chicago Bulls in a Central Division match up at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland Ohio. The Cavaliers came from a down to wire lost against the Milwaukee Bucks just the other day ending their 5 – game winning streak is trying to bounce back in the winning column while the Bulls in a current 7 – game winning streak is trying to extend their winning streak and perhaps improve their standings in the East?


In the 1st quarter both teams are in a tight and close game not allowing to pull from one another and exchanging leads for several times, it continuous to the 2nd quarter not until the Cavs manage to put an 8 point lead exactly 2 minutes to go before half time but the Bulls made an 8 – 2 run to end the half down by just 2 points 56 – 58 Cavs leads by 2 points.

In the 3rd quarter the visiting team (Bulls) scored the first 5 points of the game to regain the lead 61 – 58, they manage to post their biggest lead 77 – 72 up by 5 points with under 4 minutes to go until the Cavs retaliates and make their own run to end the quarter up by 3 points 82 – 79.

In the 4th quarter, the home team (Cavs) starts the quarter with 7 – 0 blast posting the first double digit lead of the game by 10 points 89 -79, while LeBron James is still resting on the bench with more than 10 minutes to go in the final quarter, but again the tough Bulls find their way to get back in the game after a 9 – 0 run to cut the Cavaliers lead by only 1 point under 8 minutes to go.

The Bulls manage to regain their final lead for the last time after a turnover by LeBron James that leads to an easy dunk 92 – 91, Bulls up by 1 point with 7:45 remaining. Since then the Cavaliers mostly hold the lead in the latter part of the game, but the Bulls won’t get away as they have the chance to tie the game and extend to overtime? but Valentine throws an air ball from the 3 point area that leads to Cavaliers 24th win of the season.

Cavs remains 3rd in the East with 24 wins and 9 losses, while the Bulls end their winning streak and maintain their spot at 14th seed in the East. Cavs next game on Christmas day will be the defending Champion Golden State Warriors.

Kobe Bryant’s Jersey's 8 & 24 Finally Retired by the LA Lakers

NBA – On Monday night December 18, 2017 (US TIME), retired NBA player and future Hall of Fame Kobe Bryant was once again in the basketball limelight after his former team and the only team played in the NBA the Los Angeles Lakers conducted a special ceremony honoring his great contribution in the Lakers franchise. The Lakers retired his two jersey’s his first jersey #’s 8 and the second jersey #’s 24 at the Staple Center in the presence of his family, friends, former teammates and fans.


Kobe will be remembered as one of the greatest player that played the game, a leader, a killer instinct or clutch player when the game is down the line he is there to bale his team and the only player compared to the Greatest Player of All Time Michael Jordan not only with the similarity of the game but the will to win in every game. Although he retired early due to injury problems his accomplishment inside the court will be hard to duplicate or even surpass by some new NBA players?

Kobe Bryant was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1996 NBA Draft but quickly traded to the Los Angeles Lakers on the same day, Bryant was the first NBA player who came out of the high school and played straight in the National Basketball. In his early years with the Lakers Bryant and the young and very talented Shaquille O’Neal formed a tandem that captured 3 NBA Championship with the Lakers but Bryant was only a supporting cast on O’Neal’s big shadow.

After the departure of O’Neal, Bryant becomes the franchise player of the LA Lakers his career blossom as he won his first MVP of the regular season in 2008 and adding two more NBA Titles and two Finals MVP in 2009 and 2010 to seal his legacy as one of the greatest players ever played in show time Lakers.

Throughout his career, Kobe played for only one team (Lakers) for twenty NBA Season his achievement was remarkable 5 NBA Titles, 2 Finals MVP, 1 Regular Season MVP, 18 – All-star appearance and four of that occasion he has won 4 – All-star MVP and many more……

As of today, Kobe Bryant is considered by many sports analysts as Top 10 players of the NBA greatest players played the game but some will put him easily in Top 5? Either way he is one of the greatest players even seen playing the game of basketball and I am one of those lucky enough to see from the young Kobe who wear Jersey # 8 through older Kobe wearing jersey # 24!

Cavs Beat Wizards Extending New Winning Streak to 5

NBA – The Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Washington Wizards for their second meeting of the season at Wizards home court at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. both teams are coming from a win, the Cavaliers are in 4 – game winning streak after beating the Utah Jazz last night at home and now facing the Wizards in a back to back games while the Washington Wizards are in 2 – game winning streak and has a day off before facing the visiting Cavaliers.


The Cavaliers has already beaten the Wizards in their first meeting last November 3rd where LeBron James drops 57 points, tying former team mates Kyrie Irving for most points scored in a single game in Cavaliers franchise.

In the 1st half, the Cavaliers mostly controlling the game and leading by as much as 7 points, outscoring the home team in the 1st quarter 27 – 23 but the home team retaliates in the 2nd quarter, outscoring the visiting team 37 – 33 to end the 1st half tied at 60 – 60 all.

James leads the Cavs at the half with 11 points, while wizards superstar guard duo John Wall and Bradley Beal with 11 points and 15 points respectively.

In the 3rd quarter, Bradley Beal exploded for 10 points while Kevin Love posted 11 points to lead their respective teams, the 3rd quarter end tied at 83 – 83 all afetr both team scored only 23 points each.

In the 4th quarter, LeBron James continuous his struggle in shooting, but finds a way to help his team to win by acquiring more rebounds and assist to help his team extend their winning streak to 5 defeating the home team Wizards 106 - 99.

Despite a bad shooting game tonight for LeBron James he managed to dropped 20 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assist in another triple double for the 3rd consecutive games and his 6th triple doubles of the season.

Kevin Love leads the Cavaliers in scoring with 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Bradley Beal scores 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assist.

The Cavaliers has now won 18 of their last 19 games to solidify their solo second place in the East Standing with 23 wins and 8 losses, behind the Boston Celtics 25 wins and 7 loss.

Lonzo Ball Loss His First NBA Match against his Idol LeBron James

NBA – The second round pick of the 2017 NBA Draft and rookie star point guard of the Los Angeles Lakers the 20 year old Lonzo Ball finally meets his childhood idol LeBron James and the Cavaliers in their first ever NBA match of the 2017 – 2018 NBA Season at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The young Ball admitted that he idolized LeBron James since childhood and considering him as the greatest player of all time in his own opinion.


Before the game, the Lakers just came from a loss in their last game is currently sitting at 11th place in the West Standing with 10 wins and 16 loss, Lonzo and his team will try to bounce back to the winning column if they are lucky enough to get a win from one of the hottest team in the league the defending Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers?

The Cavaliers are also on a mission of trying to extend their new winning streak to improve or solidify their solo 2nd place in the East Standing with 20 wins and 8 losses and itching closer to the best record in the East behind the Boston Celtics East best record of 24 wins and 6 loss.

In the game, the visiting team is, the more aggressive team in the early quarter, establishing an early lead of 7 points after dominating the paint area compare to the home team where the usual slow start is seen again. In the 3rd quarter, The Cavaliers made a strong start controlling the entire quarter by leading for most of the quarter and with under 3:37 to go the Cavs posted the biggest lead of the game by 11 pts. But the young Lakers are very stubborn to put away in the game as they cut the Cavaliers lead into single digit to end the 3rd quarter. 94 – 86.

The 4 – Time NBA Regular Season MVP and 3 –Time NBA Champion is fast approaching of joining the elite group of former and current NBA superstar who already made the 30, 0000 career points.


James, who is currently ranked 7th for NBA –All Time Career points with 29,551 points is only needed 449 points to become the 7th player in NBA History of reaching the 30,000 milestone and becoming the youngest player to do so which currently hold by retired LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant.

This 2017 – 2018 NBA Season LeBron James is averaging 28.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.7 assist per game in the Cavaliers 27 games this season, which ranked them 3rd in the East Standing with 19 wins and 8 losses, If James continue to average the same statistic throughout the entire season he will probably reach the milestone in the next 16 games or so?

NBA – The hottest team in the league continues to sizzle after beating the visiting Sacramento Kings at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cavaliers win tied their franchise record of 13 – game winning streak in 2009 and 2010 NBA Season.

 LeBron James tied his longest winning streak with the Cavaliers, although his longest winning streak is with the Miami Heat with 27 – game winning streak during his term with the Heat along with his then and now team mates Dwyane Wade.

During the game both teams start slow but the visiting team shows more fashion and aggression after outscoring the home team in the 1st and 2nd quarter to end the half time leading by 9 points 57 – 48 Kings.

In the 3rd quarter the Kings extended their lead up to double digit but the Cavs slowly find their way to chop the Kings lead and manage to close the gap before the quarter's end, although the Kings manage to hold on to their lead by just 5 points 78 -73 despite LeBron James explosive 3rd quarter.

In the 4th quarter, the Cavaliers continues their rally to get back in the game while LeBron James is resting on the bench, sharp shooting Kyle Korver take over hitting 3 straight 3’s in the early minutes of the final quarter to regain the Cavs lead since the 1st quarter.

Since then the last 5 minutes of the final quarter has been tight as no time lead by more than 2 points not until LeBron James made a back to back clutch basket to regain the lead with 1:15 in the final quarter and the game winning 3’s with 15.8 to up their lead by points in a come from behind win to keep their winning streak alive this season.

Dwyane Wade Not Welcome at First in Cavs Rooster?

NBA – On the eve of Cleveland Cavaliers successful 10 – game winning streak, Cavs main man LeBron James admitted that some of his teammates was not openly welcomed his best friend Dwyane Wade in their current rooster, especially those old timer players.

Reports said that some of the players are not happy of Wade acquisition due to some players contract might be affected or in danger of being cut or trade and one of those player was Richard Jefferson who is one of the Cavaliers fans favorite players and a popular locker room figure that was traded to the Atlanta Hawks.


But LeBron James stands on his decision for what he believes that Wade can still play and can bring a championship mentality in their team? Although during their first 12 games this season and the early struggle of their teams shows that his teammates are correct of not wanting Wade to their roster, but thing changes when Wade ask to be a bench player and the team slowly improving their defense and gelling with one another.

The team is now fast moving up to the East Standings and currently enjoying a season best of 11 – game winning streak with 16 wins and 7 losses. It seems that the LeBron James reunion with his buddy Dwyane Wade was the right decision? After all, the two players earn 2 – NBA Titles during their term with the Miami Heat.

Wade joins the Cleveland Cavaliers during the NBA Off-season after Wade and his former team Chicago Bulls agreed to buy out his contract. Wade has agreed a one year veteran’s minimum with the Cavs and openly admitted that he wants to join a championship caliber team like Cleveland.

For now Dwyane Wade was reported to be a top contender for the NBA 6th man of the year? This is his first nomination throughout his NBA career after 14 years of being a starter, will Wade continue his dominance and leadership to the 2nd unit of the Cavaliers? Cavs Beat Hawks Extending Their Winning Streak to 10

NBA – The Cleveland Cavaliers ended their losing skid over the Atlanta Hawks after a 121 – 114 win in their second meeting of this season at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. 

The Hawks have beaten the Cavaliers in their last three meetings which the first two games were dated back last season and the last game this early season in a down to wire game which favor the Hawks 107 – 105 at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

The win improves the Cavaliers standings to 15 wins and 7 losses currently 3rd in the Eastern Conference Standings behind the Detroit Piston and league best record Boston Celtics.

The win also extended the Cavaliers season best 10 – game winning streak the second best winning streak this season behind the Boston Celtics 16 – game winning streak.

LeBron James comes out the game strong as he posted 24 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists in a very impressive 8 of 11 field goal shooting after disappointing last game first ejection of his illustrious NBA Career. 

Kevin Love also posted a double double game performance with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Meanwhile, Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder leads all scorers with 27 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assist.

In the 1st quarter, both teams have a high scoring quarter, especially the Cavaliers where they tied their season best of 42 pts. Against the Hawks 35 pts. LeBron James starts strong in the game after a frustrating last game first ejection of his NBA career with 11 points.

In the 2nd quarter the home team outscored the visiting team 32 – 21 outscoring by as much as 11 points to take the lead at the half 67 – 63. Hawks point guard Dennis Schroder leads all scorers with 17 points while LeBron James and Jae Crowder finish with 13 points each at the half.
