Cavs Snapped Bulls 7-Game Winning Streak in a 115 – 112 Win at Home

NBA – The # 3 seed in the East Cleveland Cavaliers host the # 14 seed Chicago Bulls in a Central Division match up at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland Ohio. 

The Cavaliers came from a down to wire lost against the Milwaukee Bucks just the other day ending their 5 – game winning streak is trying to bounce back in the winning column while the Bulls in a current 7 – game winning streak is trying to extend their winning streak and perhaps improve their standings in the East?


In the 1st quarter both teams are in a tight and close game not allowing to pull from one another and exchanging leads for several times, it continuous to the 2nd quarter not until the Cavs manage to put an 8 point lead exactly 2 minutes to go before half time but the Bulls made an 8 – 2 run to end the half down by just 2 points 56 – 58 Cavs leads by 2 points.

In the 3rd quarter the visiting team (Bulls) scored the first 5 points of the game to regain the lead 61 – 58, they manage to post their biggest lead 77 – 72 up by 5 points with under 4 minutes to go until the Cavs retaliates and make their own run to end the quarter up by 3 points 82 – 79.

In the 4th quarter, the home team (Cavs) starts the quarter with 7 – 0 blast posting the first double digit lead of the game by 10 points 89 -79, while LeBron James is still resting on the bench with more than 10 minutes to go in the final quarter, but again the tough Bulls find their way to get back in the game after a 9 – 0 run to cut the Cavaliers lead by only 1 point under 8 minutes to go.

The Bulls manage to regain their final lead for the last time after a turnover by LeBron James that leads to an easy dunk 92 – 91, Bulls up by 1 point with 7:45 remaining. Since then the Cavaliers mostly hold the lead in the latter part of the game, but the Bulls won’t get away as they have the chance to tie the game and extend to overtime? but Valentine throws an air ball from the 3 point area that leads to Cavaliers 24th win of the season.

Cavs remains 3rd in the East with 24 wins and 9 losses, while the Bulls end their winning streak and maintain their spot at 14th seed in the East. Cavs next game on Christmas day will be the defending Champion Golden State Warriors.
