Cavs Beat Wizards Extending New Winning Streak to 5

NBA – The Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Washington Wizards for their second meeting of the season at Wizards home court at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. 

Both teams are coming from a win, the Cavaliers are in 4 – game winning streak after beating the Utah Jazz last night at home and now facing the Wizards in a back to back games while the Washington Wizards are in 2 – game winning streak and has a day off before facing the visiting Cavaliers.


The Cavaliers has already beaten the Wizards in their first meeting last November 3rd where LeBron James drops 57 points, tying former team mates Kyrie Irving for most points scored in a single game in Cavaliers franchise.

In the 1st half, the Cavaliers mostly controlling the game and leading by as much as 7 points, outscoring the home team in the 1st quarter 27 – 23 but the home team retaliates in the 2nd quarter, outscoring the visiting team 37 – 33 to end the 1st half tied at 60 – 60 all.

James leads the Cavs at the half with 11 points, while wizards superstar guard duo John Wall and Bradley Beal with 11 points and 15 points respectively.

In the 3rd quarter, Bradley Beal exploded for 10 points while Kevin Love posted 11 points to lead their respective teams, the 3rd quarter end tied at 83 – 83 all afetr both team scored only 23 points each.

In the 4th quarter, LeBron James continuous his struggle in shooting, but finds a way to help his team to win by acquiring more rebounds and assist to help his team extend their winning streak to 5 defeating the home team Wizards 106 - 99.

Despite a bad shooting game tonight for LeBron James he managed to dropped 20 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assist in another triple double for the 3rd consecutive games and his 6th triple doubles of the season.

Kevin Love leads the Cavaliers in scoring with 25 points and 9 rebounds, while Bradley Beal scores 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assist.

The Cavaliers has now won 18 of their last 19 games to solidify their solo second place in the East Standing with 23 wins and 8 losses, behind the Boston Celtics 25 wins and 7 loss.
