Familiar Opponent Meet again in the 2018 NBA Finals “Cavs vs Warriors 4”

NBA – The cast of the 2018 NBA Finals is now set after the defending and reigning NBA Champion Golden State Warriors easily pass the Houston Rockets in 101 - 92 win in Game 7 at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The Warriors dominated the second half of Game 7 by outscoring the Rockets in the 3rd 33 – 15 to turn around the game in their favor behind Stephen Curry's hot shooting after being down by as much 15 points in the 2nd quarter. Warriors ended the 3rd leading by 7 points.

In the final quarter, Warriors lead balloons into double digit, since then James Harden and the Rockets has not able to find a way to get back in the game unlike the 1st half where they dominated the Warriors. Rockets blew their chances in Game 6 and Game 7 of trying to dethrone the defending NBA Champion after taking 3 – 2 lead in the series.

Meanwhile, The Cleveland Cavaliers are the first team to advance to the NBA Finals after a hard fought battled against the young Boston Celtics that exceeded also into Game 7. LeBron James carried the Cavaliers into their 4th straight NBA Finals appearance while LeBron is in his 8th straight NBA Finals appearance. The Celtics had their chance to upset the Cavs in Games 6 and 7 but failed to take their advantage at home as they fall to the King.

The Cavaliers and the Warriors are facing in the NBA Finals for the 4th straight NBA Finals, The Warriors have a commanding 2 – 1 lead in the NBA Finals matchup against the Cavaliers and possibly win another title this year after being the better team and star studded line up, while the Cavaliers lead by LeBron James will try their best this upcoming series to try their luck of reclaiming the NBA Title along with one All-star team mate Kevin Love and half new roster of the Cavs.

The 2018 NBA Finals Game 1 starts on May 31 - 9PM (US TIME) at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.

Game 7! Cavs vs Celtics “Win or Go Home”

NBA – The Boston Celtics will host the defending 3 – time Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts this coming Monday May 28 at 8:30 am (PH Time). The Cavaliers stay alive after winning Game 6 at their home court Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The series is now tied at 3 – 3 apiece where both teams successfully won their assignment at their home.

The Boston Celtics won Game 1, 2 and 5 at home and if the trend continue they are more likely to win Game 7 which they are remain unbeaten at home this 2018 NBA Playoffs. While the Cavaliers won Games 3, 4 and 6 and now one win away or returning back to the NBA Finals for the 4th straight season while LeBron James is eyeing his 8th consecutive NBA Finals appearance.

Now that the series exceeded to “Game 7” the best two words in basketball, where all hard works, the sacrifices and drama comes into one last game before the winner advance to the ultimate series the NBA Finals while the looser take the early vacation.

According to some basketball expert and analyst there bet for Game 7 is to the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the series why? Because Cavs had LeBron James “The best player in the planet” and when he is backs off the wall and facing elimination it’s very hard to defeat LeBron who is taking his talent into much greater performance, especially facing a very young Celtics who are missing their two All- Star player due to injury.

The Celtics has already exceeded their expectations this season if they somehow dethrone the Cavaliers they are now the new beast in the East and for the Cavaliers advancing to the Finals means another record loss in the Finals for LeBron James where many critics already predicted that LeBron and the Cavs has no chance of defeating either the defending Champion Golden State Warriors or the top seeded team in the regular season the Houston Rockets in the NBA Finals?

For me, If LeBron and the Cavs able to pass the Celtics and reach the NBA Finals I rather see his chance of trying to win an NBA Title again, despite his team are no match to the Rockets or the Warriors? At least he tried rather than losing in the Eastern Conference Finals? Or maybe it will be Boston in the Finals? Saving LeBron James in another NBA Finals defeat? Let’s just wait and see comes Game 7 and whose team will advance to the NBA Finals?

Terry Rozier is the only Celtics player in double figure with 10 points at the half.

In the 3rd quarter, the Celtics had a quick 4 – 0 run that leads to an early time out for the Cavs. Cavs is known for their slow starts in the 3rd where sometimes it leads to a complete collapse in the game, but this time they able to hang on despite losing the quarter 21 – 23 and still lead the game 89 – 76 up by 13 points at the end of the 3rd.

In the 4th quarter, Cavs has not be denied of taking this Game 4 at home preventing the Celtics of coming back in the game as they completely control the final quarter and now tied the series at 2 – 2 in a 111 – 102 win over the Celtics.

The Celtics have a commanding 2 – 0 lead in their best of seven Eastern Conference Finals and now 2 wins away from returning back in the NBA Finals since 2010.

In Game 3, the Cavaliers will host the Boston Celtics at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cavs are in must win situation comes in the pivotal Game 3 at home, a win can rally them back in the series while a loss can put them in a very big hole where no teams ever to comeback in 0 – 3 deficit?

The Cavaliers are currently 5 wins and 1 loss at home this post season while the Celtics are struggling on the road with 1 win and 4 loss this post season. The odds show that the Cavs has a very good chance of winning Games 3 and 4 at home and able to get back into the series, especially if the “King” LeBron James will enforce his dominance over the Celtics from the 1st quarter through the 4th quarter?

Many sports analysts still believe that the Cavs can get back into the series because of LeBron James dominance as the best player for both teams, but he need a great help to his team especially Kevin Love and Jr Smith to be able to get back in the series?

While the Celtics, who are very well coached team despite their team are a bunch of role players such as rookie Jason Tatum, 2nd year, Jalen Brown, 3rd year Terry Rozier and not to mention their veteran key player Al Horford are clearly outplayed and out hassle the reigning East Champion. If Celtics able to get Game 3? There’s no way they can loss the series?

This series was last year Conference Finals rematch where the Cavs wins 4 games to 1 but this time it would be a different series after both teams made a major change in their roster. This year the Celtics were the better team, but the Cavs have LeBron James.

In the 1st quarter, the Cavaliers take an early lead 7 – 4 but since then it was all Celtics posting a big 32 -11 run to finish the quarter 36 – 18, up with a big 18 points. Celtics able to post their largest lead in the quarter with 21 points behind Al Horford and Jalen Brown hot start while LeBron and the Cavs gone cold.

This post season the Cavaliers lost Game 1 in round 1 at home against the Pacers by a big margin, in round 2 Cavs rallies back in Game 1 to defeat the Raptors. The one thing in common between the 3 series is that the Cavs starts slows in Game 1 like in this Game 1 loss to the Celtics. If the trend continues for the Cavs, they should win Game 2?

Meanwhile the Boston Celtics remain unbeaten at their home court this post season.

Cavs meet again the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals Rematch

NBA – The cast in the 2018 NBA Eastern Conference Finals is now complete, the Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 5 to advance into the next round and will be facing the already awaiting Cleveland Cavaliers that sweep their own series match against the #1 seed in the East the Toronto Raptors.

Last season these two teams met in the conference finals where the Cavaliers won the series 4 games to 1, that year LeBron James has still Kyrie Irving and the Celtics has the MVP Regular Season candidate Isaiah Thomas and defensive specialist Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley and Kelly Olynyk in their starting five.

But at the start of the 2017 – 2018 NBA Regular Season, these two teams made a blockbuster deal that trade Kyrie Irving to the Celtics in exchange of 4 Celtics players Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and 1st round pick to the Cavaliers. Though Irving will not be seen in Cavs/Celtics rematch to face his former team due to injury, Thomas and Crowder are also not with the Cavs which they are traded during the trade deadline.

The Cavaliers have the slight advantage in the upcoming series due to LeBron James advantages as the best player for both teams. James is on his 8th straight Conference Finals and is also eyeing his 8th straight NBA Finals appearance.

Meanwhile, who would have thought that this Celtics team, who lost Gordon Hayward in the very 1st game of the season and Kyrie Irving injury in March that ends his season would be able to advance in the Conference Finals despite the remaining players are almost all role players.

Al Horford the only remaining Celtics player in last year, starting five could be a key player in the upcoming series along with rookie Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, Marcus Smart, Marcus Morris, Terry Rozier and their brilliant Head Coach Brad Steven.

Many basketball experts and analyst predicted that the Cavs will come out of the East but who knows, the Celtics  might upset the reigning and defending Eastern Conference Champion?

NBA – The top seeded team in the East the Toronto Raptors host the defending Eastern Conference Champion and #4 seed Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the 2nd round NBA Playoffs at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. It is the rematch of last post season match where the Cavaliers sweep the Raptors in 4 games.

Prior to the game the Toronto Raptors battled the Washington Wizard in round 1 of the post season that took 6 games before the Raptors move onto the 2nd round while the Cleveland Cavaliers exceeded their series match against the top Indiana Pacers in Game 7 before moving onto the 2nd round to face the awaiting Toronto Raptors.

The Raptors own the home court advantage over the Cavs in their best of seven series, it is also predicted that the Raptors will win the series? But LeBron and the Cavs own the Raptors in this year's regular season and the past 2 post season where the Cavs eliminated the Raptors twice.

Either way the Raptors will have their chance this playoffs of dethroning the King and the Cavs for the first time or will the King and the Cavs continue their complete domination over the Raptors for the 3rd consecutive post season?

In the game, the 1st quarter was a complete domination of the Raptors taking an early lead of the game and never look back to finish the quarter 33 – 19 up by 14 points. Cavs superstar LeBron James sat down in the later minutes of the quarter, which is an unusual thing for him where he always finish the quarter before resting in the 2nd quarter?

In the 2nd quarter, Cavs able to come back in the game by outscoring the Raptors 38 – 27 cutting the lead into just 3 points 60 – 57 at the half. JR Smith and Jeff Green played big in the quarter leading the Cavs in scoring with 14 points and 13 points respectively. LeBron James added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assist. While the duo of DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry lead the Raptors in scoring with 15 points and 10 points respectively.

In the 3rd quarter, the Raptors made a quick start to back up their lead again into double digit. Jonas Valanciunas leads the Raptors in scoring and rebounds in the 3rd to give the Cavs a hard time, but despite of that Cavs able to cut the lead into 3 points 83 – 80 till the quarter ends in 87 – 82 Raptors up by just 5 points.

In the 4th quarter, Raptors back their lead to double digit again in the early minutes but the Cavs won’t go away and slowly cut the lead until the game was tied at 105 all with 30.3 remaining. Cavs had their chance to win the game with 0.6 remaining in the game but LeBron James failed to make a fade away shot that went to overtime.

In Overtime, Cavs made the first basket to get the first lead of the game 108 – 105 with 4:23 to go they manage to up their lead into 6 points, 113 – 107 but Raptors made a 5- 0 run to cut the lead to just 1 point 113 – 112. With only 16 seconds to go Raptors had their chance to win the game but failed to score a 3’s that went into Game 1 victory to the Cavs 113 – 112.
