How to register as a new Voter and Voter’s reactivation

Philippines – are you an applicant for first time voter’s registration and also an applicant for voter’s reactivation? If yes, this might be the right article for you, for me and my wife together with my elder son has recently applied for voter registration in one of the COMELEC’s satellite registration sites.

Before going to any satellite registration sites in your designated area prepare the following requirements to avoid any hassle? Bring any valid ID with 1 Xerox copy of the ID, for student bring the student ID and 1 Xerox copy of the ID, make sure that the student ID must have signature on it.

Student ID
Senior Citizen ID
PRC License
Employer’s ID
NBI Clearance
SSS/GSIS ID
PWD ID
Postal ID
Passport
Driver’s License

At the satellite Registration, ask for any assistance as possible, go to the officer in charge in giving application form, ask for new voter’s application and reactivation, the person in charge will give you an application form together with number stab.

Go to the waiting area assigned, fill up your application form and wait for your numbers to call? Make sure all your personal details are correct in the application to avoid any hassle in releasing Voters Certification.

Once inside the Satellite Registration Site, Here is the step by step guide:

1. Wait for your turn to be evaluated or interview, they will ask you on what is the purpose of your application?

Here is the list of application that you can file at the Satellite Registration Site

Application for new voter registration
Transfer of Registration record
Reactivation
Change of Name
Correction of entries in the registration record
Reinstatement of voter registration
Updating record’s of PWDS, Senior Citizens and member of IP or ICCS

2. After the evaluation or interview wait for your name to be called, get your application form and proceed to Biometrics, new applicants will undergo for biometrics while the Reactivation applicants will just update their file by the officer in charge.

3. Finally go to the last counter for thumb mark. Wait for your acknowledge receipt stub, make sure to keep your stub safe and after 2 or 3 months you can follow up your Voter’s Certification to the nearest Municipality at your area.

Take Note: Voter’s registration starts from December 12, 2022 and will end till January 31, 2023. Make sure to file your application for the upcoming elections.
