Stephen Curry road to his first ever NBA Finals MVP

NBA - Stephen Curry has won his 4th NBA Title after the Golden State Warriors took the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the best of seven series of the 2021-2022 NBA Finals and at the same time he won his first ever Finals MVP after 6 years of NBA Finals appearances.

In 2015, the Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in 6 Games and Andrei Iguodala was named Finals MVP. Stephen Curry has no chance of winning the award despite winning the Title. Apart from Iguodala LeBron James of the losing team had the better chance of winning the award.

In 2017, the Warriors once again meet the Cavaliers for 3rd straight Finals and this time Kevin Durant is their main weapon of regaining their title in 2015. As expected Durant lead them into the Championship and wins the Finals MVP in a 6 Game series. Stephen has no chance of winning the award.

In 2019, the Warriors reach the NBA Finals for the 5th consecutive and this time they faced a different team after LeBron James leave the Cavs and join the Lakers. The Warriors faced the Raptors and unfortunately due to injury to Durant and Thompson the Warriors bows down to the Raptors.

The next season Durant leave the Warriors for Brooklyn Nets and the rest is History. After 2 years the Warriors have been out of the postseason due to injury problems. And in 2022, the team is healthy once again and they had a great start of the 2021-2022 NBA Season.

In 2022, The Warriors reached the NBA Finals for the 6th time in 8th years in Curry's era. Curry had a monster game though out the Finals scoring 34 pts. in Game 1, 29 pts. in Game 2, 31 pts. in Game 3, 43 pts. in Game 4, 16 pts. in Game 5 and 34 pts. in Game 6 that lead to his first ever Finals MVP.
