Lakers edge Sacramento Kings, leads into their 3rd Game winning streak

NBA – The Los Angeles Lakers host the visiting Sacramento Kings for their third meeting of the 2021–2022 NBA Regular Season at Crypto.com Arena formerly known as Staple Center in Los Angeles, California.

Prior to their game, both teams are tied in their season match, the Kings won their first meeting at the Staple Center where in went into triple overtime and the Lakers retaliate in their second meeting in a blown out win at the Golden 1 Center in Downtown Sacramento, California.


Both teams came with a win in their last assignments the LA Lakers won their last 2 games against the Portland Trail Blazers and Minnesota Timberwolves respectively, while the Kings won against a tough team in the East the Miami Heat.

Currently both teams are sitting below the Western Standings the Lakers are 8th seed and the Kings is 10th seeded in the West.

In the game, both teams are looking to break the tie in their 3rd meeting, the Lakers had a slow start in the early quarter where the Kings won the 1st quarter 31 – 26.

In the 2nd quarter, the Lakers able to regain the lead, outscoring the Kings 31–28 in the quarter, but the kings manage to end the half leading by 2 points 59–57.

In the 3rd quarter, the Lakers came out strong outscoring the Kings 28 – 24 to end the 3rd up by 2 points 85 – 83.

In the 4th and final quarter, the Lakers had a slow start down by as much 7 points, but rally back in the game behind their superstar LeBron James and new comer Malik Monk.

The Lakers outscored the Kings in the quarter 37–31 with the final score 122–114 that leads to the Lakers 3 –game winning streak tying their best streak this season.

LeBron James drops another 30 plus points with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Malik Monk added 24 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. De’Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield drop 30 points and 26 points for the Kings.

Meanwhile the LA Lakers will face the Atlanta Hawks at home at Crypto.com Arena hopping to keep their streak in 4 and climb a higher spot in the West Standings.
