Raptors Survived Trilling End Game from Detroit

NBA – The Eastern Conference best record the Toronto Raptors escaped the 9th seeded team in the East the Detroit Piston in a thrilling overtime win 121 – 119 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

The Detroit Piston has their chance to win the game, but Blake Griffin, who has a sensational game with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assist missed the game winning 3’s at the buzzer with 1.1 seconds to go in OT. 


While DeMar DeRozan scored game high 42 points along with 4 rebounds and 6 assist lead the Raptors in scoring and the clutch pass that sealed the game in a made basket by his team mates.

Both Blake Griffin and DeMar DeRozan played a huge game for their respective team they are trading clutch basket in the later minutes of the 4th quarter that eventually went to overtime.

The Raptors have now had a 6 – game winning streak, improving their record to 47 wins and 17 loss, just 2.5 games ahead over the East 2nd best record the Boston Celtics. The Raptors are looking good as the regular season nearing its end and they have a high chance of claiming the top seed in the East if they continue to play great basketball.

While the Detroit Piston remains in 9th place in the East despite the loss with 29 wins and 36 loss extending their losing skid to 4, just 4 games behind to both Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks at 7th and 8th place respectively. 

The Piston have still a great chance of making it to the playoffs if they will start winning now? With 17 games more to play basketball, still there are lots of things that might happen in the East Standings as the regular season goes by?
