Kyle Korver Joins Cleveland Cavaliers in a Trade Agreement with Atlanta Hawks

NBA Trade – On January 7, 2017, The Cleveland Cavaliers acquire sharp shooting and 3 point specialist Kyle Korver, from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Mike Dunleavy, Mo Williams and a protected future first round pick in the NBA Draft.

With the addition of Kyle Korver in the Cavaliers team it will strengthen more the perimeter area of the team, especially the 3 point area where the Cavaliers team is already the second best shooting team in the NBA this 2016 – 2017 NBA Season next to number one shooting team Houston Rockets.

Also, Kyle Korver will be a very good replacement to the injured 3 point specialist JR Smith, who suffered a broken thumb and will be out for approximately until March of this year. Korver will be joining fellow 3 point specialist Channing Fry, Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, James Jones, Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson and even LeBron James, who’s having the best percentage of his career when it comes with 3 point shooting this year.

The 35-year-old and 14th year NBA veteran Klyle Korver, is earning $5.2 million this season in the final year of his current contract, he is averaging 9.5 points per game and shooting 40.9 percent in 3-pointers this year. He holds the best record in 3 point shooting accuracy NBA History and currently ninth place on the all-time list for three-pointers made. Carver was also an All-Star in 2015.

Meanwhile, some NBA sports analyst thinks with the addition of Kyle Korver in the CAVS team will give more chance of beating the Golden State Warriors in a possible third NBA match up for the 2016 - 2017 NBA Championship? Korver’s talent of knocking down threes will be a good matchup against GSW very own three point specialist.
