SSS Member One-Time Pin (OTP) Options for their SSS Account Online

The Social Security System or SSS has recently added another feature on their SSS Website which is a second security option for SSS members, the members can choose two way options on how to access or log in to their SSS Account Online through One-Time Pin (OTP) along with their usual SSS User ID and Password.

Once the SSS Member Sign In with their SSS UserID and Password, they will be sent to another page on which the One-Time Pin Options can be chosen; these options are One-Time Pin through SMS and the new added security features the Time-based One-Time Password.

Here is the Step by step Guide on how to use SSS One-Time Password Online:

One-Time Pin through SMS

The usual OTP that members use is the One-Time Pin through SMS; these options, the members must have a SSS registered mobile number so that they can receive the 6-digit OTP code sent through SMS. The problem with these options is that sometimes the OTP Code is delayed or not received for whatever reason.

Time-based One-Time Password

These options are the newer added security features for SSS Member, it can only be used by installing a Mobile Application called Google Authenticator. These options are much more convenient and easy to use; just open the Apps and get the 6-digit code and type the code to sign in.

These options are also very tricky while setting up for the Time-based One-Time Password for the first time; the user must save the QR Code in Option 1 while the Secret Code in Option 2; both options are very important in using the Google Authenticator.

So, that's it! These are the two options that SSS Members can choose on how they can access their SSS Account Online.
