Warriors stay alive in Game 5 win over the Lakers

NBA – The reigning and defending NBA Champion the Golden State Warriors host the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 5 of their best of seven series of the NBA Semi Conference Final at Chase center in San Francisco, California.

Prior to the game, The Lakers won Game 1 at Chase center, Warriors bounce back in Game 2 at home, while in Game’s 3 and 4 Lakers defended their home at Crypto.com Arena winning both games and taking a commanding 3 -1 series lead over the reigning NBA Champion.


The Warriors are also facing eliminations in Game 5 over the Lakers, it will be their second elimination match this postseason, the first one is over the #3 seed Sacramento Kings that leads into Game 7 showdown.

In the game, the early quarter, was a complete domination by the Warriors posting an early double digit lead 17 – 5 with 7:28 to go in the 1st. Lakers able to rally back to the game cutting the Warriors lead into 4 points 32 – 28.

In the 2nd quarter, Lakers regain the lead 34 – 32 after a LeBron made 3’s in the left corner with 11:03 in the quarter, since then both teams are exchanging several lead changes but the warriors able to control the later part of the quarter, outscoring the Lakers 38 – 31. Warriors finished the Half up by 11 points 70 – 59.

In the 3rd quarter, The Warriors able to hang on to their lead at double digit and posted their largest lead at 18 points 79 – 61 with under 9:10 to go in the quarter, Lakers able to cut the Warriors lead into 11 points at the end of the 3rd. Both teams scored even with 23 points in the 3rd. Warriors 93 – 82 Lakers.

In the 4th and final quarter, The Lakers able to cut the Warriors lead into single digit 105 – 94 with 5:25 to go in regulation and it is also the closes the Lakers come in the game over the Warriors. Warriors eventually closes the game with 121 – 106 win over the Lakers outscoring the Lakers in the 4th 28 – 24.

The Warriors are still down in the series 2 -3 and will visit the Lakers in Game 6 at Crytyo.com Arena, will the Warriors force a Game 7 at Home? Or will the Lakers stun the reigning NBA Champion in Game 6 at home?
