Lakers and Timberwolves battle for the right to advance in the NBA Post Season

NBA - The 7th seed Los Angeles Lakers with 43 wins and 39 losses in the 2022 - 2023 NBA Regular Season host the 8th seed Minnesota Timberwolves with 42 wins and 40 losses for the Play-in Tournament at Arena in Los Angeles, California.

The winner takes the 7th seed in the Western Conference Standings and the right to advance in the post season to face the 2nd seed and awaiting young Memphis Grizzlies in a best of seven series show down.

While the loser of the match will face the winner of the 9th and 10th seed between the New Orleans Pelicans with 42 wins and 40 losses against the Oklahoma City Thunder win 40 wins and 42 losses respectively.

Prior to the game between the Lakers and the Timberwolves, the Timberwolves had the edge in their head to head matchup this Regular Season with 2 wins and 1 loss, Wolves won the first 2 games 111 - 102 on Oct.28 and 110 - 102 on March 3 while the Lakers won the last meeting 123 - 111 on March 31

Although the Timberwolves had the Lakers number in the regular season, this Play-in Tournament is different they are the underdog after missing some key players due to injury and suspension.
