The Warriors open NBA Preseason in Tokyo against the Wizards

NBA - The 2022 - 2023 NBA Preseason opens in Tokyo featuring the 2021 - 2022 NBA Champion the Golden State Warriors against the Washington Wizards at Saitama Stadium in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

These two teams will visit Japan for 2 consecutive games at the same arena in Tokyo. The first game of the Preseason opener will be played on September 30 and the second game is on October 2nd.


Both teams are playing outside the country, the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors will be in overseas for the first time since the 2017 game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in China.

Both teams are also expected to play their superstar players, the Warriors are expected to play their trio, 2 - Time Regular Season MVP and Finals MVP Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green while the Wizards are expected to play Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porziņģis.

Meanwhile, after the 2 consecutive games between the Warriors and the Wizards, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Memphis Grizzlies open their own Preseason games at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

On October 3, there will be 3 games on the same day, the Boston Celtics against the Charlotte Hornets, the Toronto Raptors against the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Los Angeles Lakers will open their Preseason games on October 4 (Philippine Time) against the Sacramento Kings at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Both teams are also scheduled to close the Preseason games on October 15.

The 2022 - 2023 NBA Regular Season is scheduled to start on October 19, featuring two great games the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference and the reigning NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and former NBA Champion LA Lakers in the Western Conference.
