Celtics regain series lead 2-1 over the Warriors in Game 3 win of the 2022 NBA Finals

NBA - The Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics host the Western Conference Champion the Golden State Warriors for Game 3 of the 2022 NBA Finals Best of seven series at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The NBA Finals are currently tied 1-1 a piece prior to Game 3, the Boston Celtics take Game 1, 120-108 at Chase Center, stunning the Warriors crowd in San Francisco, California. The Celtics outscored the Warriors in the 4th quarter 40-16 and never look back to steal the home court advantage.


In Game 2, the Warriors able to tied the series after an explosive 3rd quarter of Game 2 and never look back and tied the series, Warriors wins 107-88 over Celtics in a complete domination of Game 2 at home.

In Game 3 of the NBA Finals, in the 1st quarter, the home team Boston Celtics take an early double digit lead, led by Shooting Guard Jaylen Brown, who scored 17 points to lead all scorers in the game while Stephen Curry scored 7 points. Celtics end the quarter, up by 11 points 33-22.

In the 2nd quarter, The Warriors able to cut the Celtics lead into single digit several times due to scoring combination of Curry, Thompson and Wiggins but the Celtics able to hang on to their lead and bring back into a double digit lead at the end of the half 68 - 56. Celtics outscored the Warriors 35 - 34 in the 2nd quarter.

At the Halftime, Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum and Marcus Smart scored 22 points, 11 points and 10 points respectively to lead the Celtics in scoring while the Warriors Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins with 15 points, 14 points and 13 points respectively.

In the 3rd quarter, The Warriors able cut the Celtics lead again into a single digit and continue their hot quarter until they take the lead 83-82 with under 3:45 in the quarter after falling behind for the most of the game.

Stephen Curry got hot in the quarter scoring 15 points out of his 29 points. The Warriors outscored the Celtics 33-25 but the Celtics regain the lead and finished the quarter, up by 4 points, 93-89.

In the 4th and final quarter, The Boston Celtics scored 9-2 run to bring up their lead back to double digit with 9:07 minutes to go in the quarter 102-91. With under 5:06, the Celtics balloon their lead to14 points 110-96.

Since then the Warriors never find their way back in the game after an explosive 3rd quarter where they momentarily taken the lead. Stephen Curry scored just 2 points in the final quarter with 31 points in the entire game.

Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, Marcus Smart, Al Horford and Grant Williams all scored double digit points for the Celtics and take Game 3, 116 - 100 and take 2 -1 series lead over the Warriors.
