LeBron James put a show against his former team Cleveland Cavaliers

NBA – The Cleveland Cavaliers host the visiting LA Lakers for their second and final meeting of the 2021 -2022 NBA Regular Season at Rocket Mortgage Field House in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Lakers won their first meeting last October 30 (PH Time) 113–101 at Staples Center which is now renamed to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
 

Prior to the game, the host team Cleveland Cavaliers are coming from a win and currently sitting 6th in the Eastern Conference Standings with 41 wins and 30 losses.

While the Los Angeles Lakers came from a disappointing loss against the Wizard on the night where LeBron James passed Karl Malone for the 2nd All Time in Scoring List are currently 10th of the Western Conference Standings with 30 wins and 41 losses.

In the game, the Lakers had a hot start with a 6–0 run in the early quarter, but the Cavaliers made their own run and won the quarter 35–28.

In the 2nd quarter, LeBron James started to heat up scoring 17 points in the quarter to finish the half with 21 points, putting the Lakers ahead at the half 67–62 Lakers up by 5 points.

In the 3rd quarter, Cavs rallied back in the game outscoring the Lakers by 6 points to cut the Lakers lead into single points at the end of the 3rd 96–95.

In the 4th and final quarter, LeBron James put a show in front of his home town and led his team against his former team to pass the Cavaliers in a 131–120.

LeBron James posted a triple double with 38 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, while Cavaliers guard Darius Garland made a huge game in a losing effort with 29 points, 17 assists and 2 rebounds.

With this Lakers win and Pelicans loss in today’s NBA Schedule the Lakers regains the 9th spot of the West standings with 31 wins and 41 losses and the Pelicans go back to the 10th spot with 31 wins and 42 losses.

The Lakers next game is the East 2nd seed Philadelphia 76ers at home, a must win for the Lakers to stay inside of the Play in Tournament.
