LA Lakers even their Season Match against the Boston Celtics

NBA – The Los Angeles Lakers host the visiting Boston Celtics for their second and final meeting of the 2021–2022 NBA Regular Season at Staple Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Celtics had already beaten the Lakers in their first meeting last November 20 (PH TIME) 130–108 at the TD Garden. Celtics forward Jason Tatum led the Celtics with 37 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assist while Lakers center/forward Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assist.
Prior to the game the Lakers are currently 7th in the Western Conference Standings with 12 wins and 12 losses, while the Celtics are in 6th place in the Eastern Conference Standings with 13 wins and 11 losses.

In the game, the Celtics start the early quarter hot leading by as much 8 points led by Celtics forward Jayson Tatum with 14 points.

But Lakers superstar LeBron James counters Tatum hot start scoring 16 points in the quarter and make a made 3’s with over 2 minutes in the quarter that take the Lakers first lead of the game 24–22. Eventually the Celtics won the quarter 33–31.

In the second quarter, the Lakers outscored the Celtics 29–22 to take the lead at the half up by 5 points 60–55. LeBron scored only 2 points in the 2nd quarter to lead the Lakers in scoring with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assist.

Celtics Jayson Tatum scored 7 points in the quarter to lead all scorers with 21 points and 4 rebounds, center Robert Williams and Josh Richardson added 11 points each for the Celtics.

In the 3rd quarter, the Lakers had a strong start posting the first double digit lead of the game 70–60 after LeBron’s made dunk with under 7:26 to go in the quarter.

Lakers able to up their lead to 19 points behind Russell Westbrook 3rd quarter explosion outscoring the Celtics 31–20 and finished the quarter up by 16 points 91–75.

In the 4th and final quarter, Lakers posted their largest lead of the game with 20 points and able to hang on to their lead and gets a win over the Celtics.

Lakers lost the quarter 26–27 but won the game up by 15 points 117–102.

LeBron James led the Lakers in scoring with 30 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assist, Russell Westbrook with 27 points, 3 rebounds and 11 assist and Anthony Davis with 17 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assist.

Meanwhile, Celtics Jayson Tatum leads all scorers with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assist in a losing effort.
