Warriors handed the Lakers 3rd straight loss in Russell Westbrook Debut

NBA – The Golden State Warriors host the visiting Los Angeles Lakers in their first meeting of the 2021 NBA Preseason at Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

The Warriors are currently unbeaten in the Preseason with 2–0 record while the Lakers are still win less with 0 – 2 record.


Lakers superstar LeBron James is scheduled to play for the first time this preseason while his new teammate superstar point guard Russell Westbrook is making his debut as a Laker in this game.

In the early quarter, the Lakers outscored the Warriors 25–21 to win the 1st quarter, but in the 2nd quarter the Warriors outscored the Lakers 38–14 to take a double digit lead at the half 59–49.

In the 3rd quarter, the Warriors extended their lead to 14 points to finish the 3rd 91–77.

In the 4th and final quarter, The Lakers made a huge comeback in the game and cut the Warriors lead into single digit with under 3:47 in the game 109–110.

But the Warriors find a way to keep this game away from the Lakers and spoiled Westbrook debut as a Laker, the finals score Warriors 121, Lakers 114.

The Warriors are now 3–0 while the Lakers are down to 0–3 in this year's preseason game.

Warriors led by their superstar point guard Stephen Curry with 30 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 26 minutes of playing while Jordan Poole added 28 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 25 minutes of playing.

Meanwhile, LeBron James drop only 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 18 minutes of playing while Russell Westbrook scored only 2 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assist in 17 minutes of playing.

The Lakers nest assignment is the Phoenix Suns where they already loss in this preseason while the Warriors next assignment is the Lakers again and this time the Lakers will host the Warriors.
