Lakers Escape Bulls Back at the Top of the West Standings

NBA – The defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers are back at the top of the Western Conference Standing after a narrow win against the visiting Chicago Bulls 117 – 115 at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, California.

Prior to the game both teams are coming from a loss, the Chicago Bulls recently loss to the Sacramento Kings while the LA Lakers was stun by the San Antonio Spurs at home ending their 4 – game winning streak.


The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing without their superstar Anthony Davis, but the good news is they will have the other Laker superstar the current league leading KIA MVP Race LeBron James in this match against the visiting Chicago Bulls.

In the game, the first quarter was dominated by the Chicago Bulls caught the Lakers flat in the early quarter, Bulls leads 33 – 28.

In the second quarter, The Lakers outscored the Bulls 31 – 25, to get back in the game led by LeBron James Lakers lead at the half, 59 – 58.

In the third quarter, the Lakers had a slow start, but able to regain composure to end the quarter, up by 4 points 92 – 88, outscoring the Bulls in the quarter 33 – 30.

In the fourth and final quarter, Lakers able to establish a marginal 9 point lead but all of a sudden the Bulls rally back in the game and able to cut the lead into a single point and had their chance of winning the game with under 12 seconds to go but Bulls Zach LaVine the hottest man in the court failed a jump shot in the right corner that could give the Bulls lead.

On the other hand, after a missed shot by the Bulls, the Lakers able to save the game after a bad shot takes by LeBron James at the Logo.

The Lakers are now currently holding the solo lead at the Western Standings with 7 wins and 3 losses after the Phoenix suns and LA Clippers drop both their assignments with both teams at 2nd and 3rd with 6 wins respectively.
