Phoenix Sun’s acquire Chris Paul from OKC via Trade

NBA – The Phoenix Sun’s made a bolder move in their current roster in this year NBA Off-Season after acquiring All-Star Guard and 10 – Time NBA All – Star Chris Paul in a trade made just last November 16, 2020.

The trade involves five Phoenix Suns player and a future 2022 First Round pick while two players for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

These players are the following, for the Phoenix Suns they traded an upcoming star in the league in the name of Kelly Oubre Jr., point guard Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque while for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s side are All-Star Chris Paul and Abdel Nader.

The Phoenix Suns would be the fifth team of Chris Paul in his entire NBA Career, he was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2005, join the Los Angeles Clippers in 2011, join the Houston Rockets in 2017, join the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019 and now the Suns in 2020.

Prior to the trade, Chris Paul demanded a trade from OKC after a successful season with the team. He was rumored of joining his long time best friend LeBron James in LA after the elite point guard Rajon Rondo opted out of his contract.

Paul, was also rumored of joining the Los Angeles Clippers his former team after Clippers Star Kawhi Leonard was reported recruiting him to join the team?

Paul, will join All-Star teammates Devin Booker to bring back the glory days of the Sun’s during the days of Hall of Famer and MVP Charles Barkley and 2 – Time NBA MVP Steve Nash. 

Today, at age 35, the 6 foot 1” All –Star Guard with the second highest salary in the league with $38.5 Million this season just right behind with the Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is still one of the toughest and elite guard in the league.
