DFA Implements Pay First Policy before Passport Appointment


Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has recently implemented a new policy that will oblige all passport applicants (new applicants or renewals) to follow a new payment system that can somehow avoid the abuse and exploitation of syndicates who sell appointment slots to applicants.



According to reports the new payment policy called “e-payments system” is set to begin this month of June 2018 at DFA-Aseana office in Parañaque City and it will also be implemented at other consular offices in Metro Manila next month, and elsewhere in the country.

Under the new system, all applicants that will set an appointment schedule at the DFA-Aseana office must first pay the processing fees at any authorized payment centers prior to their scheduled appointment. Failure to do so the applicants will not be able to receive a confirmed appointment schedule. The same procedure will also be implemented at other consular offices until further notice by the DFA.

Here are the easy 4 Steps of e-payments system:


1. Visit the DFA Website www.passport.gov.ph and schedule your appointment.

2. Pay your passport appointment at any DFA authorized payment centers.

3. Print out the confirmed appointment packet that will be emailed to you after you have paid your  passport processing fee.

4. Personally show up at the DFA Consular Office on the date and time indicated in your appointment. Bringing with you a printed copy of your confirmed passport appointment packet and other required documents and Id’s.

  15. May reference number ako na nakalagay sa email tapos nung nasa bayad center ako binigyan ako ng form nilagay ko na ref # ko tapos sabi nya ibang ref# daw yung tinatanggap nila sa passport... Tapos bukas na appointment ko di pa ko bayad pwede ba ko magbayad sa mismong site?

  18. Hello di ko alam san magbabayad kasi sabi dun sa ussc di daw sa kanila masbate area ako wala na man silbi yung mga bayad center di naman na sila tumatanggap. Hays. Sa ref. Number ko I have 17 digits. So ask ko lang po saang Bank ako mag babayad

  23. i already have the appointment date but I didn't receive a reference number for payment. then I try na kumuha ulit ng schedule but yung reply sakin is appointment already exist..so when I can get my code and reference number para masasabi ko na akin na yung nakuha ko na schedule.
