76ers Escape Cavaliers Late End Game Run

NBA – The visiting Philadelphia 76ers visit the Cleveland Cavaliers for their 3rd match of the 2017 – 2018 NBA Season at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. 

The 76ers are currently 6th in East  with 32 wins and 27 loss are looking to end their 2 game losing skid after having 7 – game winning streak while the home team Cleveland Cavaliers the 3rd best team in the East with 36 wins and 24 loss are also looking for some momentum after a hard fought win against the Brooklyn Nets.


In the game, the visiting 76ers are mostly in control of the entire game while the home team is just playing catch, the 1st half ended almost evenly match despite the 76ers has been up just by 3 points, 59 – 56.

Joel Embid leads the 76ers in scoring with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assist at the half while LeBron James drops 19 points 5 rebounds and 4 assist for the Cavaliers.

In the 3rd quarter the visiting team outscored the home team by 3 points 18 – 15 to end the quarter up by 6 points 77 – 71.

In the 4th quarter the 76ers established the biggest lead of the game of 13 points while LeBron James is resting on the bench, but when the Cavs superstar inserted in the game the home team fought back in the game scoring 14 – 0 run to cut 76ers lead into just 3 points half way through the final quarter.

The Cavaliers manage to cut the lead into single point 95 – 94 after Kyle Korver hits a 3’s with 2:23 to go but since then the 76ers made their own 13 – 3 run to hold the Cavaliers late end game run and finally beats the Cavs this season and ending their 11th straight loss in the hands of the defending East Champion in a 108 – 97 win.

LeBron James played another huge game but fall short of another triple double with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assist not enough to bail his team. Cavs remain the 3rd best record in the East despite the loss just a game ahead over the Wizards.
