OKC Denied LeBron James of Reaching the 30,000 Career Points

NBA – The Cleveland Cavaliers host the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder in their first meeting this season at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland Ohio.

The Cavaliers are the 3rd best team in the East with 27 wins and 17 loss has just ended their 4 – game losing skid from their last game against the Orlando Magic while the Thunder is sitting 5th in the West Standings with 25 wins and 20 losses and currently in 3 – game winning skid prior the game.

Before the game, Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is in milestone alert of possibly joining the elite group of 30,000 career points in today’s game against the Thunder, James is currently 7th All-time in career points with 29,975 career points and 25 points shy of becoming the 7th player to join the prestigious milestone.

In the game, the visiting Thunder came strong in the 1st quarter, outscoring the home team 43 – 24 posting a double digit lead of 19 points to end the quarter and put the Cavaliers in another big hole as early in the game.

In the 2nd and 3rd quarter the Cavaliers shows some series of life of coming back in the game after managing to cut the lead into a single digit lead in the 2nd quarter and 12 points in the 3rd but the Thunder is too much to handle, especially Paul George who is having the greatest game in Thunder’s uniform scoring the game high of 36 points, accompanied with a great game by his Co starters Carmelo Anthony who drops 29 points, Steve Adams with 25 points and Russell Westbrook with 23 points, 20 assist and 9 rebounds to destroy the slumping Cavaliers 148 – 124 win in Ohio.

The Cavaliers has now lost their 9 out of their last 12 games, but remain the 3rd best record in the East despite all the struggles, especially in their defense where it’s evident in the game where they allowed the Thunder to score 148 points the most points given to an opponent in Cavs history.

Meanwhile, LeBron James, who failed to reach the 30,000 career points has just scored 18 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assist, just 7 points shy of reaching the 30k milestone in another disappointing game for the Cavaliers, followers and fans all over the world.
