Cavs Escape Hornets 100 – 99! Extending Their Winning Streak to Seven

NBA – The defending Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers escape a narrow win against the persistent Charlotte Hornets on the eve of the Black Friday night at Quickens Loan Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Cavaliers hard earning win at home came with a defensive stop in the final possession of the Charlotte Hornets after guard Kemba Walker missed a 3 point shot in the final seconds of the 4th quarter that sealed the game for the home team.

The Cavaliers win improves their records to 12 wins and 7 losses which currently 3rd best in the East Standings behind the Detroit Piston at 2nd place with 12 wins and 6 loss while the league best record Boston Celtics at the top spot with 17 wins and 3 losses.

The Cavaliers win also extend their winning streak to season best of 7 – game winning streak the new longest streak this season after Boston Celtics 16 – game winning streak snapped by the Miami Heat the other day.

Once again the Cavs relies on their superstar and Mr. 4th quarter, LeBron James, who played another monster game posting another triple double with 27 points 16 rebounds and 13 assist along with 3 blocks. It was James 57th triple double of his NBA career while leading the league in minutes and most points scored in the final quarter this season.

Early this season the Cavaliers has been criticize for their poor defense which drop them down in 13th place in East Standings with 5 wins and 7 loss but since then things got better as the team and players slowly gelling with each other and starts to play some good defense and now they are back at the top and slowly reclaiming the top of the East Standings.

It’s only a matter of time and we will see the defending East Champion take over at 2nd place or maybe at the top of the East as the NBA Regular Season continue.
