Dirk Nowitzki became the sixth NBA player to reach the 30,000 All-time career points

NBA – Dallas Maverick superstar Dirk Nowitzki, a 2011 NBA Champion, 2011 Finals MVP, 13 Time All-star and 2007 NBA MVP became the sixth NBA player in History to reach the 30,000 All-time career points.

The 38 years old German superstar who is currently in 6th All-time career points with 30,005 points join five other former NBA superstars who already reach the said milestone, 1st Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387) the most points in NBA history, 2nd Karl Malone (36,928), 3rd Kobe Bryant (33,643), 4th Michael Jordan (32,292) and 5th Wilt Chamberlain (31,419). 


Nowitzki, is the only active player on the list and more likely to add more points as his career moves over, while he is now in his 19th season in the NBA, Dirk is still looking for his 20th season next year, which means that he might even reach or surpass Wilt Chamberlain or even Michael Jordan in all-time scoring list before retiring his NBA career?

Dirk, reach the milestone yesterday March 9, 2017 (US Time) against the visiting LA Lakers at American Airlines Arena, entering 20 points shy before reaching the milestone, in the 1st quarter, Dirk posted 18 points on a hot shooting night and finally sealed the milestone in the early minutes of 2nd quarter after hitting a jump shot in the side. Dirk ended the game with 25 points in-front of Dallas Mavericks fans.

The latest accomplishment of Dirk Nowitzki cements his legacy as one of the greatest NBA players of all time. The question now is where or what ranking he belongs? Does he belong to the Top 10? Top 15 or Top 20 all-time best? But one thing is for sure he is the greatest NBA player in Germany of all time.
