NBA Finals: GSW Beat the Cavaliers in Game 4, Takes 3-1 Lead in the Series

NBA Finals Game 4 – The Golden State Warriors are 1 win away for taking the 2015-2016 NBA Championship while LeBron James, is also 1 loose away for his 3rd straight lost in NBA Finals.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to even the series at 2-2 a piece against the defending Champion Golden State Warriors. The Warriors currently ahead in the series 2-1, after taking Game 1 and Game 2 while the CAVS takes Game 3.


Richard Jefferson start again for the Cavaliers in replace to Kevin Love who will come out the bench for the first time after cleared to play. Love suffered a contusion in Game 2, missed Game 3 where the CAVS win. While the Golden State Warriors did not change their starting line-up after a blown out loss in Game 3.

Kevin Love enter in the game with 5 minutes remaining in the 1st quarter receiving a standing ovation by the Cavaliers fans. The 1st quarter ended in a tight race with the Warriors leading by 1, 29-28.

LeBron James, re-enter at the start of the 2nd quarter who has not been a factor in the first quarter after committing 2 early fouls.  In the 2nd quarter James, put some points and assist in the later part of the 1st half putting the Cavaliers ahead in the game 55-50 in a closed game for the first time in the series.

Kyrie Irving lead the Cavaliers in scoring with 16 points, JR Smith has 10 points, Tristan Thompson has also 10 points while LBJ has only 7 points with 5 reb and 5 assist at the 1st Half.

Meanwhile Reigning MVP Stephen Curry, is now more aggressive in Game 4, showing some early shooting confidence hitting several 3 points during the 1st half.  Curry leads the Warriors in scoring with 14 points followed by Klay Thompson with 11 points.

CAVS start the 3rd quarter with a technical free throw made coming from a technical foul receive from assistant coach Luke Walton at the end of the 1st half and quickly posted their biggest lead in the game of 8 points but the splash brother quickly cut down the lead into 2 after a back to back hits in 3 point area.

Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry, exploded for the first time in the series after not showing much in the first 3 games. Making multiple 3 point shots in the 3rd quarter to keep the Warriors in the game and finally take the lead with 4 mins remaining in the 3rd after a 3 point made by Step Curry.

Former Cavaliers Anderson Verejao, gives quality minutes for the Warriors after multiple rebounds that gives extra possession for the Warriors. The 3rd quarter ends 79-77, Warriors ahead by 2.

In the 4th quarter, CAVS regained the lead with 11 minutes to go 81-79 after a made basket by James. But the Warriors quickly came back to post a 3 point lead with 9 minutes to go after a basket made by Iguodala  86-83.

Cavaliers, starting to miss free throw and hasn’t made any points in the last 6 minutes while the Warriors is starting to full away in the game establishing their biggest lead  with 9 points 93-84 with only 5:56 to go in the 4th quarter.

Warriors established their biggest lead after a 3 point made by Curry by 10 points 96-86.
Cavaliers failed to tie the series and instead their going to the GSW Home Court “Oracle” in Auckland for the Game 5 trying to extend the series or another Championship for the Warriors.

Final scores in Game 4, 108-97. Stephen Curry leads the Warriors with 38 points, while the Cavaliers leads by Kyrie Irving with 34 points.
