San Miguel Beer Survive Game 4, Denied Alaska Aces OF A Series Sweep

PBA – San Miguel Beer, refused to give up in Game 4. As they extend their series into Game 5, after winning a come from behind OT thriller 110-104.

When everything seems looking good for the Aces, San Miguel, keep their composure as they continue to fight at the later end of the 4th quarter.


The Aces, mostly dominated Game 4, one win away from winning the prestigious PBA Philippine Cup Championship. But failed to hang on their lead which as much as 13 points with 8 minutes remaining in regulation.

With 2 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter, Alaska still leading by 6 points 93-87. But San Miguel, continue their rally with the help of Gabby Espinas, Arwin Santos,Ronald Tubid and Chris Ross.

The Beermen regained their lead  with 26.7 second remaining after a basket made by Arwin Santos.
Cyrus Baguio, bailed Alaska Aces after making a buzzer beater 3 point shot to tie the game 98-98 extending the game in overtime.

In overtime, San Miguel Beer finally hold on Alaska as they secure Game 4, 110-104 with the heroic performance of Chris Ross.


The Alaska Aces still leading the series 3-1, one win away of grabbing the Philippine Cup Championship. While the Beermen, need 3 more wins to win the title. A very hard way to do but it can be done if they will play the way they play in Game 4, despite the absence of their main man June mar Fajardo, due to knee injury.
