Alaska Aces Grab the 1st Seat in Philippine Cup Finals

PBA – Elimination round top seeded Alaska Aces, end their own series match up against the No.5 seeded Globalport Batang Pier in Game 5 (118-89).

After losing Game 1, Alaska aces became physical in Game 2, wherein as early in the 1st quarter of Game 2, several players were involved in pushing and trash talking that leads to multiple technical fouls.


Since then Alaska never look back as they swept the last four games, winning by big margin ending the series 4-1, Alaska.

The Aces, will mark their 29th Finals appearance in franchise history and currently 2nd for most championship in PBA history with 14 championships second only to San Miguel Beer with the most Championship with 24. Behind Alaska Aces is the Purefoods Franchise and Crispa with both 13th Championship.

While Alaska awaits the outcome of San Miguel Beer and Rain or Shine Elasto Painter, results in their own semis match. Alaska will have the chance to rest and be preferred for who might be their opponent for the prestigious Philippine Cup Championship.

Alaska last finals appearance was in 2014-2015 Governors Cup, where they were swept by San Miguel beer 4-0. If San Miguel Beer will go on to the finals, it will be a finals rematch for the two most winnigest team in the PBA.
