Cavs and Warriors Road to the 2017 NBA Finals

NBA Playoffs – The defending Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2014 -2015 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors are once again facing one another in NBA Finals match for the 3rd straight year. 

Both teams are tied in their NBA Finals match with 1 Championship a piece and their 3rd meeting will be their rubber match that will break the tie and the winner will become the superior team over the loosing team.


The Warriors are the heavy favorite of winning the 2017 NBA Championship, they have been the best team in the NBA for the 3rd straight year setting an NBA record from last year for most win in a single season with 73 wins and 9 losses and this year with the addition of former MVP Kevin Durant joining the reigning 2 time MVP Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson forming a super team they top the 2016 - 2017 NBA Regular Season and owning the prediction of winning this year NBA Championship.

For the Cavaliers they have been the underdog over the Warriors in their previous Finals meeting, including this much awaited rubber match that will start on June 1 (US TIME), they have not been the favorite to win in this year NBA Championship just like in the first meeting where LeBron James almost single handedly carried the Cavs in 6 games in 2014 – 2015 NBA Finals while in 2015 -2016 James and the Cavs upset and stun the Warriors in Game 7 at Oracle Arena after capturing their 1st ever NBA Championship.

As expected by many sports analysts during the pre- season of last year, both the Cavaliers and the Warriors are predicted to dominate their conferences and meeting once again in the Finals.

While, the defending Champion Cleveland Cavaliers with 12 wins and 1 loss in the post season has also swept their 1st round match over the Indiana Pacers, sweeping the Toronto Raptors In the 2nd round and beats the top seeded Boston Celtics in 5 games to crown as the Eastern Conference Finals.
