With Pacquiao Recent Win, Do We See A Possible Rematch Between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao?

Eight time division champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao successfully defeated the defending champion Jessie Vargas in a unanimous decision for the WBC Welterweight Championship in a 16,131 spectators at Thomas & Mack Center Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao was predicted by many sports analyst to win the title fight as early as 6 or 7 rounds in a TKO, but the younger champion Vargas came prepared to disappoint the expectation of many analysts and fans all over the world.



The match went through up to 12 rounds where all three judges scores the match in favored of Pacquiao 118-109, 118-109 115-113. Pacquiao once again crowns as the new WBO Welterweight Champion for the third time of his career.

After the match Stephen A. Smith interviews Pacquiao on who he rather fought on his next fight? Will Terrence Crawford or Floyd Mayweather Jr? Pacquiao answer’s “Whoever the people want me to fight,”!

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is also present on Pacquiao-Vargas fight as one of the spectators watching live. Rumor’s now speculates after a great win by Pacquiao that Mayweather and Pacquiao should have their rematch?

Pacquiao and Mayweather, are considered as the best pound per pound boxer in the world, they are the only boxer left, which might bring back the excitement in boxing arena that never seen before after their first meeting on May 2, 2015.

Currently, Floyd Mayweather Jr, age 40 is a retired boxer with an unbeaten record of 49 wins coming with 26 KO’s and 0 losses. His last fight was last September 12, 2015 against Andre Berto.

Now, that Manny Pacquiao is back at the top of his boxing career and once again a boxing champion, will Floyd Mayweather come out of retirement and perhaps pursue Pacquiao for another boxing fight for the last time?
