CAV’s Kevin Love posted 2nd Best Scoring in a Quarter! LBJ posted Triple Double

Cavaliers forward Kevin Love found his stroke during the 1st quarter of their game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Love posted 34 points, Cav’s best in franchise history, NBA highest points scored in the 1st quarter and the second best scoring in a single quarter behind Klay Thompson of Golden State Warriors who posted 37 points in the 3rd quarter against Sacramento Kings.


Love, connected 8 three point shots in the 1st quarter, 3 field goals inside the paint and 4 out of 4 in Free throws. He did not score in the 2nd quarter but still manage to lead all scorer in the 1st half with 34 points. Love finished the game with a season high and career best in Cavaliers uniform with 40 points and 8 rebounds.

Aside from Kevin Love monster performance, teammate LeBron James also shows an impressive game as he posted his 44th Triple double of his career with 31 points 10 rebounds and 13 assist. It was his second triple double of this season. James also posted 12 assist at the end of the first half the most assist made by a single player in Cavs history. Kyrie Irving, also scores 20 points and 6 assist.

Cavaliers big three scores 91 points in a 137 – 125 win against Portland.

Meanwhile, Cavaliers also made history as the most three point shot made in the 1st half with 16 made three point shots and a total of 21 made three point shots in entire game the most made three point shot in Cav's regular season game.

The Cav's improve their standing in the Eastern Conference ranking 1st place with 11 wins and 2 loss. Slightly ahead from the 2nd place Atlanta Hawks with 10 wins and 5 loss.
