Durant Leads the Warriors in Game 3 win, putting the Cavs in 0 – 3 Hole

NBA – The Cleveland Cavaliers host the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. 

The Cavaliers are currently down in the series at 0 -2 and now in a must win situation tonight at their home in-front of their crowd, a win could give a morale boost to the Cavs to get back into the series while the Warriors are looking for a commanding 3 – 0 lead in the series on the road. 


In the 1st quarter, the Cavaliers starts the game strong taking an early double digit lead that extended to 12 points. Kevin Love and JR Smith came out strong to lead the Cavs in scoring with 7 points each but the Warriors led by Kevin Durant, who scores 13 points manage to get his team back in the game and cut the Cavs lead into single points 29 – 28 at the end of the earlier quarter.

In the 2nd quarter, Cavs starts a 6 – 0 run to put them ahead by 7 points 35 – 28 with 9:22 to go that leads to an early time out for the Warriors. Cavs momentum continues as the quarter goes and now able to regain a double digit advantage and even extended their largest lead of the 1st half with 13 points 50 – 47 with 4:03 to go in the quarter, but Kevin Durant continue his hot shooting game that kept his team back into the ball game in the later parts of the quarter to cut the Cavs lead into just 6 points 58 – 52.

Kevin Durant drop 24 points to lead the Warriors in scoring at the half while Kevin Love leads the Cavs s with 15 points.

In the 3rd quarter, the momentum quickly shifted to the Golden State Warriors after an 11 – 3 run that leads to the Warriors first lead of the game 63 – 61. Warriors continue their hot quarter that extended their lead to 5 points 69 – 64. Cavs able to get back and tied the game, but the Warriors quickly regain the lead since then it has been a close game that ended in 83 – 81 in the 3rd Warriors up with 2 points.

In the 4th quarter, the Cavaliers able to regain the lead at 9:37 87 – 86, since then it has been exchanging basket and leads for both teams. In the last 2 minutes of regulation Stephen Curry, Andrei Igoudala and Kevin Durant made the last 8 points of the Warriors to put them up by 6 points 106 – 100 with less than a minute into the game and it has been the turning point of the game that leads into a crushing loss for the Cavs at home and now facing eliminations comes Game 4.

Warriors win Game 3, 110 – 102 to take a commanding 3 – 0 lead behinds Kevin Durant 43 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists outclass LeBron James triple double 33 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assist. Game 4 is scheduled at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio at 9am, Saturday (PH Time).
