Wizards Stun Rejuvenated Cavaliers

NBA – The visiting Washington Wizards stun the Cleveland Cavaliers and their fans inside the Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio after defeating the rejuvenated Cavaliers in a down to wire finish 110 – 103 .

It was the first win for the Wizards in their 3rd season match against the Cavaliers despite their franchise player John Wall was out due to injury and looking forward for the equalizer for the 4th and final meeting this coming April 6, 2018.


The Cavaliers has won the first 2 meetings where LeBron James drops a season high 57 points in a very exciting match in the 1st meeting in D.C and once again played a huge game along with his new roster but fall short in their late game run ending their 4 – game winning streak.

Bradley Beal leads the Wizards in scoring with 18 points, 9 assist and 2 rebounds, made the biggest shot of the game after making a driving lay-up with 28.0 seconds to go in the final quarter that put their team ahead by 5 points to keep the Cavaliers away from the game.

Satoransky, Oubre, Porter and Meeks are all played big for the Wizards where they all scored in double digit points with 17 points, 17 points, 15 points and 10 points respectively.

Meanwhile, LeBron James scored game high 32 points with 9 rebounds and 8 assists has scored the last 14 points of the Cavaliers in the final quarter has single handedly carried his team in late game comeback after being down by double digit lead but fall short after cutting the Wizards lead into 3 points with 1:13 to go in regulation.

LeBron James and his rejuvenated Cavaliers have lost their 1st game since the acquisition of George Hill, Jordan Clarkson, Rodney Hood and Larry Nance Jr. 

Despite the loss the Cavaliers remain the 3rd best team in the East with 34 wins and 23 loss just a game ahead to the Wizards with 34 wins and 24 loss at 4th spot.
