CAVS One Win Away of Getting Back to Eastern Conference Finals

NBA – Defending Champion Cleveland Cavaliers is trying to get their 3rd straight win over the Toronto Raptors in their 3rd meeting of their semis match at Air Canada in Toronto. While The Raptors will have their home crowd to back them up and try to win Game 3, to get back in the series despite their point guard Kyle Lowry is questionable to play the game?


In Game 3, for the very first time in the series the Cavaliers missed to put a double digit lead in the early quarter compared to Game 1 and Game 2. The Raptors show signs of urgency preventing their opponent from pulling away as the held the defending champion with only 28 points but still manage to win the quarter 28 – 24. Kevin Love leads the Cavs in scoring in the 1st quarter with 10 points while Kyle Lowry sit the whole quarter due to injury he suffered in Game 2.

In the 2nd quarter, the Raptors manage to close the Gap and even take their first lead of the quarter 48 - 46 with 2:08 remaining in the quarter and eventually end the 1st half by leading by 3 points 52 – 49. Demar DeRozan leads the Raptors in scoring at the half with 21 points while Kyle Lowry is still sitting on the bench.

LeBron James leads the Cavs in scoring with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assist but finds his team down at the half, the lowest point scored on the half since the semis series start. Kyrie Irving added 10 points while Kevin Love who scores 10 points in the 1st quarter did not score in the 2nd quarter.

In the early minutes of the 3rd quarter, The Raptors put their largest lead of the series of 5 points 54 – 49, which for most of the time in the 3rd, it was exchanging basket for both teams that only separates 1 possession ball game. DeRozan leads the Raptors in the 3rd but the Cavaliers managed to regain the lead after Kyle Korver hits two crucial back to back 3 points to end the 3rd quarter 79 – 77.

In the final quarter, Kyle Korver hits his 3rd straight 3 points to up their lead to 5 points and then started a complete domination of the Cavaliers over the Raptors. Cavs posted their first double digit of the game 90 – 80 with 8:01 to go in the final quarter. Cavs slowly pull away in the game that leads to another blown out game. Kyle Korver and LeBron James lead the Cavs in the final quarter to earn their 3rd straight wins and one win away fromg etting back into the Eastern Conference Finals.

James sit out with 3 minutes to go in regulation with game high scores of 35 points 7 rebounds and 7 assist. His third straight 30 plus points of the series. Cavs wins Game 3, 115 - 94.
