Boston Celtics with less Isiah Thomas Stun the Cavaliers at Home, Wins Game 3

NBA Playoffs – The Boston Celtics less Isiah Thomas who suffered a hip injury in Game 2, clearly pushed the defending champion to their limits after taking Game 3, in a stunning win 111- 108 at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers mostly leading for the entire game has also posted their biggest lead of the game with 21 points but blew it after the Celtics find their way to comeback in the 2nd half of the game.


Marcus Smart who replaced the injured Isiah Thomas in the starting lineup came up big in the game after leading the Celtics in offense scoring 27 points and a key assist to Aubrey Bradley that give the winning basket to stun the Cavaliers home crowd.

Aubrey Bradley scores 20 points including the 3 point basket that stun the defending champion, Al Horford added 16 points, Kelly Olynyk with 15 points, Brown and Jerebko with 12 points to help the Celtics overcome the Cavs domination over the first two games. The Celtics will try to tie the series in Game 4 and comeback even in Game 5 at TD Garden in Boston.

Meanwhile the Cleveland Cavaliers shows another meltdown in the 2nd half blowing big leads, blew their chances of taking a 3 -0 commanding lead of the series. Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving scored 29 points and 28 points respectively but not enough to lift the Cavaliers of winning Game 3. Their #1 player LeBron James was out of rhythm for the entire game not looking for his shot has only scored 11 points his lowest points scored of this 2017 playoffs.

Despite the loss the Cavaliers are still in the lead of the series 2 – 1. Game 4 is scheduled again at Quickens Loans Arena in Cleveland.
