Which President Should Be Blamed on West Philippines Sea Issues Over China?

Philippines – Due to unresolved problems with China’s claims on the territorial disputes over the West Philippine Sea or South China Sea, some of the previous President of the country is now blaming each other on how, what and when the problem begin?

Former President Fidel Valdes Ramos did not like what former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo now Pampanga Congresswoman on blaming the past administration of former President Noynoy Aquino on territorial dispute facing against China.

Ramos said that Noynoy Aquino made the right decision on filing a complaint with the arbitral tribunal to condemn the illegal occupancy on some disputed island in the West Philippine Sea and to prevent any confrontation and put all claims in the right way where many neighboring countries are also interested in territorial dispute in West Philippines Sea.

A lawmaker in the country, also said that if there were to blame for the construction of the China’s facility within 200 nautical miles of the Philippines in West Philippine Sea is none other than former President Arroyo who signed the Joint Marine Seismic Undertaking (JMSU) in China in 2004.

And because of that deal in 2004, China and also Vietnam had their chance to explore, not only the islands occupied by the Philippines but also in other reefs within the territory of the country. While Arroyo allegedly made in exchange for an anomalous deal with Northern Rail and the national broadband network or ZTE deal.

Meanwhile, the current President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, already expressed his opinion that for now he will not stop China from doing what they do over the West Philippine Sea because for now the Philippine government has no power of stopping China that might lead into a war where the country has no capability on getting into a war but assuring that by the time his term ends he (The President) will impose the Tribunal decision which favored the country.
