Philippine Government Announces the Official List of Holidays for the Year 2017

As early of this year The Philippine Government announces the list of incoming Holidays, which particularly pertaining to Regular Holidays and Special Non-working Holidays for this year 2017. The announcement is to inform the public to be prepared if they have plans for this future holidays?

Holidays in the country is one important day especially for an employee, as an employee at this time of holidays you will be able to have some more time to rest, bonding more time with family or planning to have some vacation outside the province if the holidays was occur with long vacation.


While some employee chooses to work on Holidays or no options but to go to work, the company will give them some incentives like Double Pay of their regular rate per day for Regular Holidays and for Special Non-working Holidays they will be given an Overtime Pay in their daily rate.

· April 9, 2017 – Bataan Day (Sunday)

· April 13, 2017 – Maundy Thursday

· April 14, 2017 – Good Friday

· May 1, 2017 – Labor Day (Monday)

· June 12, 2017 – Independence Day (Monday)

· August 28, 2017 – National Heroes Day (Monday)

· November 30, 2017 – Bonifacio Day (Thursday)

· Decemebr 25, 2017 - Christmas Day (Monday)

· December 30, 2017 – Rizal Day (Saturday)

And Here are the list of Special Non-working Holidays in the Country:

· January 28, 2017 – Chinese New Year (Saturday)

· February 25, 2017 – EDSA People Power Anniversary (Saturday)

· April 15, 2017 – Black Saturday

· August 21, 2017 – Ninoy Aquino Day (Monday)

· October 31, 2017 – Special Non-working Days

· November 1, 2017 – All Saint’s Day

· December 31, 2017 – Last Day of the Year

The Public are advised to plan their trip or vacations if going outside the province or the country as much as possible.
